I Ching as a form of inspiration is very drawing. This revitalization led me to listen to your many Spotify recordings of your works for horn and horn ensemble, and actually sitting down and listening to them while noting the specific pattern of the I Ching that they are based on has quite possibly changed my life.
I write this email to you to thank you for all that you do as a composer and hornist; in the modern age of music there is an influx of works that lack real feeling and don’t illicit anything from the listener, and your works specifically More than 64 Quartets for Horns based on the I Ching, opus 178 are the farthest thing from those.
I feel genuine connection and understanding when I listen to them, so much . . .
