This piece is part of a set which is an I Ching Cycle. These sets are 64 little pieces or steps that cycle through an octave of sound from F to F with 64 unique tonics. If we start the reckoning of the vibration at F = 344 hertz, each step is about 4 hertz higher.
🚨 Fresh off the press: My latest single, CD 93.1-177 Electrum Epic Closure (Electrum Quartet No. 2, Op. 177), dropped yesterday! 🎺🥁📀

As composer, French organist, and multi-instrumentalist, I poured my soul into this brass beast for French horn, trombone (on Wagner tuba!), tuba, and a lush Organteq II. All parts? Me. All magic? Spectral tweaks in Digital Performer for that epic low-end warmth.
But the real fire? The revised finale—a blazing horn ascent to high Bb, crashing into a dissonant-yet-divine Bb major triad. It's closure like you've never heard. Why release this gem? Because endings this cool deserve their spotlight.
Watch me spill the deets in this quick vid, then blast it on your fave platform. Links in bio! What's your ultimate "epic closure" track? Drop it below.

These Mozart-era natural horn duets look deceptively simple on the page—mostly just two clean lines of music. But some of them are really difficult!
Karl Türrschmidt and his high-horn partner Johann Palsa toured Europe as one of the most celebrated horn duos of the late 18th century. Listening to these 50 Duets, Op. 3, you immediately understand why. The music demands serious technique, refined hand-stopping, and true conversational virtuosity.
I recorded the complete set on authentic natural horns (tuned to A=432) so you can hear the warm, vocal sound Mozart and his contemporaries actually knew.
